Holy shit i hate this movie with a passion! And that's mostly because of how universally loved this garbage is. It's often considered a cult classic, a fun action movie, the epitome of brainless entertainment. YOU ARE FUCKING INSANE!!!!!!
Unlikable characters, none of them have any semblance of charistma, groan-inducing dialogue, shameless stealing from better movies, it tries WAAAAAAYYYY too hard to be edgy and cool, the action are imFUKCINGpossible to watch with shots that don't last longer than a second and camera that won't hold still, it's The Matrix without a budget.
And the dumbasses who defend this shit tell me "Oh, you're just a pretentious movie snob who can't enjoy a mindless action movie unless it has a deep story and meaning". No, i can enjoy mindless action movies, films like Independance Day and Return of Xander Cage i absolutely love and they're not exactly thought-provoking. It's not so much as i want a deep story, it's just that when there's a fight scene i like to know WHAT THE FLYING FUCK IS GOING ON AND BE ABLE TO FUCKING FOLLOW IT, MORONS!!!!!
I hate the fact that this poorly-made, unwatchable, IRREDEMABLE heap for fucking horse shit is considered a cult classic and The Rock, a meticulously well-written, perfectly-thought out movie is completely forgotten. That is downright unacceptable. The Rock SHOULD BE the cult classic, not this shit.
